With the Solent packed full of Mackerel, Sea Bass, Crab and Lobster, you can experience fishing in complete luxury. Should you be a first timer or fishing pro, our on board crew are available to show you to ropes or share their best tips.
- £35 per person for 1 hour Mackerel fishing
- £45 per person for 1½ hours of Seasonal bottom fishing (Summer – Plaice, Bream, Sole, Gurnard, Bass, Pollock, Brill, Turbot, Ray, Smooth hound,) and (Winter – Bass, Coalfish, Cod, Dabs, Haddock, Whiting)
- £85 per person for 3 ½ hours of Specimen Fishing (Initial bait fishing – Conger, Bass, Cod, Plaice, Rays, Smooth hound)
Minimum numbers 4, Maximum numbers 6.
Note - Specimen fishing is when you target one species and go for the trophy fish over a longer period of time.
Enjoy a lesson in wine tasting in our Wine cellar or aboard the Crows Nest. Partner wines with foods and learn the history of new and old world wines alongside our sommelier.
If you like to exercise your competitive side, enjoy a game of poker in the games room or Crow's Nest. We've got the table and chips and can organise a croupier if you require.
Fresh Canapé Making, BBQ's and Oyster Opening
At Spitbank Fort, seafood doesn't get any fresher. With your catch of the day our head chef can teach your group the art of canapé making or throw an outdoor BBQ on deck.
For groups we can even arrange our Head Chef to teach Oyster Opening, great when accompanied with a champagne cocktail.
Get certified in the ancient art of Sabrage, the real way to open a bottle of champagne. An ideal after meal activity for small and large groups
Some of the world's best whiskies are blended near the sea and at Spitbank Fort you can experience the world's best whiskies, with fantastic views too.
Fancy yourself as the next Tom Cruise? You can test your skills against your family and friends and hold your very own cocktail championship on the Fort.
Take a kayak out and enjoy the beautiful Solent approaches. (Weather dependent)
